WIRELESS CARD READERS

OSI introduces the newest innovation in Smart "Controller-less" Wireless Access Reader systems. Communications between readers and the host computer is via a non-dedicated Wireless Portal Gateway. Simple to install and easy to retrofit on existing facilities, the wireless reader offers the right solution when labor costs are prohibitive and where installations need to be done in hours, not days. Now there's no need for extra wiring at the door: the Door Switch Monitor, Request to Exit and Door lock Position Sensor are all included in the wireless reader. There's no cutting or drilling required at the door and the OSI wireless reader installs in industry standard door preparations.
There's also support for a broad range of reader technologies including:
- Keypad ID codes from 4 -10 digits
- Keypad PINs from 3-6 digits
- Card or Keypad ID plus Keypad PIN capable with the following card technologies:
- Magnetic Stripe HI Coercivity Tracks 2 or 3
- Proximity HID 125 KHz cards in any format
- MIFARE 15693, ISO 14443 A
- CAC Contact Smart Card *
- FIPS 201 DESfire contact-less smart card
- Up to 15,000, 30,000, or 65,000 IDs per door
- 144 Time Zones (Time Zones can roll past midnight)
- 32 User defined vacation periods
- An access level assignment for every cardholder
- ADA compliant
- Dynamic Memory for IDs vs. Transactions
- A full audit trail stored locally and transmitted to the nearest non-dedicated Portal Gateway
